Bookstore!

 Hello!! 

Yesterday I got the results back and my toe isn’t broken, I’m so relieved. It still hurts like crazy and i have to wear my boot for at least 2 weeks, but hopefully that will let it heal!

I wanted to do crafts, but my husband and I couldn’t get my stuff out of the storage unit since it was behind a bunch of furniture (∩︵∩) so instead I walked (slowly) to the little bookstore near out apartment! 

And omg I forgot how cute it was. I went there to buy a coloring book and I bought a lot more than that xD

I was so excited to see these blind boxes!! They have a lot of tokidoki boxes so I always take a look, and I’m always happy to add a new melody to the collection ★~(◡﹏◕✿)

So originally I was only gonna get one, which turned out to be Kuromi. But the woman at the desk knew how to find a melody so I bought another :0 I think I’m going to put them on my desk at work if there’s any room left xD 

Bookstore haul!! I couldn’t resist the cat books, especially since Sue & Tai-Chan has a baby black cat like Luna. Perfect World is about a woman in her 20’s reconnecting with her high school crush who had a spinal cord injury after high school. Being chronically ill/disabled myself, I thought it was cool to see a manga about disability!! 

The little watermelon is a mini cross stitch kit which I’m super excited to start too! The markers are metallic, they’re a little too intense for a whole page tho. Today we’re stopping to get me more markers on our way to celebrate Father’s Day with my husbands parents, so I’m excited to color more Pusheen pages haha. 

I was kinda bummed about having to basically sit for 2 weeks but this should keep me entertained and made my day happier ^.^ 

The bookstore also has an ice cream shop inside it, and they had several vegan flavors :0 I got strawberry kiwi and it was super good. I definitely want to go back soon (✿ ♥‿♥)

Bryan got me vegetarian sushi for dinner and surprised me with mochi ice cream ♥‿♥ it wasn’t vegan but luckily it was so small that I could just take a lactataid pill and be okay. It was mango flavored which is my favorite!!

I also applied to be a runway model for my local convention this year! I’m really hoping I get in, I’ve wanted to apply the past couple years but I thought it would be really competitive. I actually met some of the organizers for the show last year and they really encouraged me to apply and said they don’t get a ton of applications, so it’s not as competitive as I thought!! :0 It’s mostly Lolita every year, and it looks like there will be some mori and himekaji/girly style this year too! I don’t really wear those fashions but I’m kind of excited and hoping that I will get one of those brands (there’s 1 punk style which I’m not crazy about) because I think it would be super fun to try out a Lolita look for the runway!! Really I just love being in front of people and performing LOL so I will wear pretty much anything.

June 14 ☁️

 Today I felt like wearing a tenshi-ish outfit! I really like how my makeup looks, but it’s hard to pick it up on camera 

It’s been so hot the past few days. I’m not going into the office, so I decided to wear this tennis skirt!! 

I’m only going to a doctor today (⊙﹏⊙✿) remember how I broke my big toe last year? That same toe has been bothering me for a few months now. I was sick last month when I was supposed to go to see my doctor about it and she couldn’t reschedule me until today…and yesterday I think I really hurt it, I can barely walk at all. All I did was go on my short walk to work too. I’m really hoping it isn’t broken and doesn’t need surgery, but I can tell something is really really wrong with it. o(╥﹏╥)o it seems like lately I really can’t catch a break.

I’m trying to stay positive and that’s why I put on a cute outfit!

Art Festival!

 Hello!! (✿◠‿◠)

Yesterday my husband and I went to the art festival! I had a stressful week and stressful Saturday morning so it really cheered me up!! 

This year it was held partially on a bridge!! I wanted to do an old school look. 

I found this wooden necklace at one of the booths (✿ ♥‿♥) I can’t believe how perfect it is, it really reminds me of the jewelry I see in old school mags like Ego system. 

After we were done at the festival, we stopped by the Asian food hall since they also had some vendors for their own special event! The desserts were all sold out but we got these drinks in bags haha. Mine was rose lime and it was really good!! 

This is what we got at the festival! I got a hair stick and a lucky cat from the same place the necklace came from.There were a lot of really interesting vendors this year!! I need to decide what to do with the origami star. There’s a bell inside so of course Luna wants it xD maybe I’ll bring it to put on my desk at work or somewhere she can’t reach. I felt like a bit of a celebrity bc the woman who made it is friends with my art teacher and she saw photos of me in some OTT gal outfits and knew who I was when I came by!! I’m sad she lives a few states away because she seems like someone I’d want to be friends with.

This is silk embroidery :0 it’s hard to tell in photos but it looks really pretty and shiny in person! The whole booth was super impressive, it was really hard to pick my favorite! 

Close ups! I’ve been wanting a black lucky cat for a while so this was perfect. Honestly their whole booth was perfect xD it was a husband and wife, the husband carves and the woman paints. I thought that was so cute. They had a ton of different animals, hair sticks, and a whole wall of hair clips. 

My husband got this really cool koi fish. It also doesn’t show well on phone pictures, haha. I think it’ll look really good with our ink paintings! Bryan is working on a large ink paining with a koi, so this is gonna be perfect. 

It really helped to get my mind off of my bad week! I’m so tired from all the walking though xD It got me back in my gal spirit. I think this week I’m gonna try some more makeup tutorials from old mags like ego system or egg. I haven’t found a look I totally am in love with yet but I know I’ll get there!!

Finally Friday 🌺

 I’m super happy that this week is over, I have so many fun things planned for the weekend!! I’m meeting my friend for drinks tonight at the Asian food hall near my apartment!!

Plants & gets

 Hello!! 💖🌺

Work has been really hard on me recently.. I was trying to ignore it, but a few of my coworkers actually reported the situation on my behalf. I work with some people from another company and they’ve been really terrible to me. It’s nice to have my coworkers looking out for me, I’ve never had that before. Usually when something bad happens to me, people try to deny it. So it means a lot that my coworker care about me, it makes me feel less alone. 

Anyways, I don’t wanna talk too much about upsetting stuff. 

A few things happened recently that actually made me super happy (づ｡◕‿‿◕｡)づ 

I planted some seeds on Sunday and most of them are sprouting now :0

The ones that sprouted are the orange flowers (✿ ♥‿♥)

And today I found these 2 capris secondhand :0 I’ve been looking for shorts/capris recently and I haven’t found much I like, so I was super happy to find these. 

 

They feel very old school to me, I love the patterns so much ★~(◡﹏◕✿)

Lastly, my black eyeliners are drying out so I got a new one from Stila! It’s a pencil liner that’s black and sparkly. I tried working with the pen/liquid liner and I just really don’t care for the way it looks. Especially for old school I feel like I like the softer look of pencil or gel, and then just using a brush or my nail for the wing. My makeup looks sorta bad today LOL so I don’t have a photo, but once I’ve perfected it I wanna do a tutorial!!
