Today’s work outfit

 Hello!! 🌺

Today I promised my coworkers I would bring in this ridiculous hat I bought in Japan. The text was so funny I had to buy it. Mostly when things were in English I could at least understand what they were trying to say, but I have no idea what this could possibly have started as. 

This was my outfit today! I took off my jewelry before I took the photo but I was wearing a colorful bracelet and my usual blue baby g watch. 

And as you can see my fake tan worked ⭐️ I think it looks really cute and I didn’t mess up anywhere like I used to. I really think that the oils in my body scrubs and razor were messing up the tan development before and making it patchy on my hands and feet. I kinda wanna go darker but I might wait until over the weekend so maybe it’ll look more real xD as if a redhead could ever naturally tan anyways. 

I got my face tan today too, and I’ll try that tonight so that I don’t have to always wear makeup to match my body. Hopefully I like it and it doesn’t break me out because it’s the only affordable one I can find. I got a very suspicious cystic breakout yesterday that I’m hoping is just from stress and touching my face and not my bronzer because it was the only liquid bronzer that I could find without phenoxyethanol D: if it makes me break out I’ll have to shell out for another shade of my concealer. 

I still have to finish my Japan posts, right now there’s only three and they’re just photos and no text. Work has just been super kicking my ass and my summer class went from 0 to 100 right away. It’s super challenging but I hope it will help me, and I’m going to do my best!! ⭐️ 🌺 

Tanning haul

 I’m finally back from Japan! I have a backlog of half written posts to finish up. I saw this really cute shop staff girl at Ennym (they sell d.i.a. now) who was so tan and cute and I got inspired. Sadly I can’t find her on Instagram or anything. 

Anyways I decided to start tanning again. I wanted to keep it on the cheaper end since i spent a ton buying things in Japan. When I tanned regularly I had to use a ton of products for it to show up at all, and today I was researching and found out it may be because I was always using moisturizing products right before tanning. I guess that interferes with the tan development? Idk. I would always get literally nothing on my arms and legs except for horrible dark patches on my hands and feet until I loaded a tanning lotion with dark tanning drops. 

So this time I bought a cheap oil and butter free body wash and an extra thick cream for my hands and feet. The Ulta brand was on sale for like $6. I also got a razor with no moisturizing strips on it just in case that was adding some kind of layer to my legs. I had to order something for my face bc of my skin sensitivity, so I picked up a liquid bronzer to mix with my makeup in the meantime. I just got shade light for now, because they all looked super dark. It actually on the skin turns out like a decent tan for me but we’ll see if I need a darker one since I want it to mix with my concealers. 

I got the tanologist dark gradual tan since I used to use their gradual tan back when I tanned originally. I got the dark one because I feel like light gradual tanners do nothing? Maybe it’s just my skin. Holy crap, the prices have increased from what I remember. I thought they were an affordable brand and I was gonna do what I used to do and buy drops to mix with it, but somehow the price went up to $20!? I thought they were a drugstore brand but I guess everything is expensive now because they were the cheapest in the store. I figured I’d just try it out and if I actually want more of a tan I’ll just buy it then, or find another brand with drops. I always liked that better than the mousse type. 

The last two things are a mitt and a back applicator, I know some people don’t use it with gradual tans but I like to just in case  

Actually looking back now, the cashier forgot to scan and give me the exfoliating mitts I wanted too, since I read that using a sugar scrub with oils makes the tan not develop. I’ll just order some online and use my loofah tonight. 

This is what I got for my face, I always mixed this kind of thing with my regular moisturizer. 

I’ll report back once I’ve tried everything! I’m mildly nervous something will go terribly wrong, but at the end of the day it’s just fake tan so oh well. It’s nothing permanent. Look out for my Japan posts! 

Mall gets

Hello! It's been a while since I've posted. I've been running around so busy trying to take care of myself, and then dealing with a chronic pain flare. Yesterday my sister and I went to the mall! I told myself I was only gonna return stuff... but I ended up getting a lot of stuff I had seen shopping online that was much cuter in person. 

I was left unattended in Sephora waiting for my sister xD I haven't really been happy with how my makeup is turning out recently. I bought the highlight primarily to use under my eyes, and the other thing is just a tinted pressed powder. I use high end mostly now because Dior specifically has been kinder to my skin and eyes. I've been thinking about using a lighter base, I'll have to wait a bit to try this though since i'm still trying to narrow down what it is that's making me break out. Hopefully it isn't my new concealer since I've already had to return one, but I unfortunately have a feeling it is that since I removed all other new products and still got a clogged pore today. ugh. That would be the only time Dior has let me down. I think my skin may just not like any thicker liquid products. It sucks because i originally got concealer so I could wear lighter layers of my powder foundation and now it's given me more spots than I started with. 

Hollister was so good to me. My sister said the capris were ugly but I kinda liked the vibe, it reminded me a little of amekaji.

A lot of my workout clothes are too big now so I got this set at Pink. They also had a sale on body care, and I really wanted to buy the watermelon body glitter gel. I feel like now that these trends are coming back I can finally look how I always thought I would look like as an adult when I was little. 

Kinda hard to tell in these photos but I found really cute accessories at American Eagle, the second thing is a belt with hibiscuses on it (✿ ♥‿♥)

I get my nails done on Friday and I can't decide if I wanna do easter peeps nails or if i wanna do something more general since easter is already on Sunday?? I'm already back on my bright obnoxious colors now that it's a little warmer out! 

I also still need to post about my new makeup routine once I find a way of doing makeup that I like. The eye doctor said that wearing all the heavy shimmers/metallics like I was doing increases my risk of getting another stye and it was so uncomfy and lasted so long that I got really freaked out about continuing to wear those shadows. The ones I have are really hard to wash off completely, there were always shimmers all over my face afterwards no matter how many times i rinsed and used remover. I think my look kinda depended on that really intense shimmer/glitter and now nothing I do looks right to me. I have a matte blue and a palette of satin nudes now but I haven't been able to make a look I really enjoy, something is just off without the shimmers. I feel like it makes my whole look unbalanced, without the shimmers I don't like how the rest of my face looks? That probably sounds crazy but what can I say, I know what I like xD That's why I was experimenting with different base make types, but now my skin is breaking out. I might go back to the products I used to use a year ago just with that Dior powder on top. It didn't have as much coverage, but hopefully my current spots will start fading soon anyways? My skin has gotten a lot less red even since last year I think, it's just a few red/dark spots from acne and I rarely have an active spot anymore unless I use a product that it doesn't like. Such a curse to love makeup but break out so easily o(╥﹏╥)o

Hair gets + Saturday outfit

 Hello!! 

As usual, I had a really busy weekend! Friday night was craft night with my friends, we did clay again! I made some beads and pendants as well as a few halloween miniatures. I need to get photos of them! 

Then yesterday Bryan and I went to brunch and then came back to do yard work. We did some general weeding etc and then i put up some halloween lights. 

This is what I wore to brunch!! I wore my new platform mary janes from Ugg as well, i'm just wearing my slippers here (oops) 

Then today I woke up early and went to barre class (this is an exercise class similar to pilates, just without the machines and it has some ballet moves) and then we met our friend at the ramen place for lunch. Then I had my weekly acupuncture appointment and went to the beauty supply store. Finally I came home and now I'm just relaxing. 

Bryan had wagu fried rice and it looked really good so I told him to take a photo xD 

My hair gets from the beauty supply store! I really want my hair to be BIG and I struggle with that since my hair is so fine. I can get it to look perfect before leaving the house and by the time i'm at the office it's totally deflated. I think it'll probably take some experimentation with different products. I bought the leave in conditioner since I know it's very lightweight but still has heat protectant. I really need something in my hair before gel or mousse or else it will tangle very badly. The ion product is a spray mousse specifically for the roots, which i'm really hoping will work. I think I need to use it on damp hair though, I thought it was more of a hairspray and it didn't work that great on dry hair (but it didn't specify whether to use on wet, damp or dry?? and didn't say it was a mousse, so i had 0 clue lol) and finally I got these tiny clips that my stylist said would help when i'm drying my hair. I'm supposed to clip them in so that my roots are lifted and then dry it that way.  

I've been pretty frustrated with my hair lately, I'm growing it out so I can look more like this gal on the left (minus the bangs) but I can't get it cut in the meantime so my layers are growing out.  Once it's long enough my stylist said she can cut it so I can style it like this more easily ♥‿♥ I hope it grows quickly bc it's driving me insane. 

I also got a lot of gets recently, i'll probably just post as i wear them. I really liked this juicy couture set from tjmaxx! 

I can't remember if I posted about it but I finally got a tamagotchi paradise! 

Black Friday shopping!

 Hello!! (✿◠‿◠) 

I went black friday shopping with my mom and sister and our family friends!! It's always something I really look forward to because it's a time for all of us women to hang out together, especially since thanksgivng isn't really my thing!! It was a lot of fun this year, I think the best part was getting to go makeup shopping with my sister. We bought matching eyeshadow palettes ≧◡≦  It felt like something out of the Barbie movie, just girls bonding over fashion and makeup. 

I'll probably post the makeup I got later, but I only have pictures of the clothes I got right now! I'm trying to get over the hurdle of "i didn't take enough photos to blog" bc I noticed that's why I wasn't writing as much. I never know if people care about random thoughts to read all the text without photos xD

I had seen the forever 21 x Disney collab but it was kinda overpriced for F21, but luckily a few things I had my eye on were half off (✿ ♥‿♥) 

This was something I was SO HAPPY to find. I was worried they'd be sold out by then since it was a popular collab. It's actually way warmer than I thought it would be, it's almost a coat since it's so thick. I also got the matching pants but I had to order online, so I'm just waiting for them to come in!!

Hello!! I am posting out of order xD but Sam was able to visit last weekend and it was so much fun!! We have this joke that we are "taco bell gals" since we're both obsessed with baja blast and taco bell. Sometimes people think it's a real gal circle or something when i reference it, which really entertains me since it's such a non-serious joke ヾ(〃^∇^)ﾉ LOL

Anyways!! 

a group of us got to go out to a local restaurant on sunday night and brunch on Monday! I wore a casual outfit on Sunday, i still felt really cute tho!! 

I love this top from Pink, I got it last year when they did a special release of some of their original style pieces. 

 Sam brought me so many presents, I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw the my melo set ♥╭╮♥  and all the makeup, really everything omggggg. She brought me a glitter liner from flower knows, and now i'm obsessed!! 

Going to brunch!! 

I had chocolate chip banana pancakes, they're my absolute favorite breakfast food from this restaurant! I need to go more often (✿ ♥‿♥)

This was my outfit for brunch!! I had my eye on this skirt from urban outfitters for several months but I was NOT willing to pay like 50 or 60 for it. I found it on the clearance rack for less than $20 the other day so i had to immediately get it (▰˘◡˘▰)

Blue boom, recent gets & rambling

 Hi! (◠‿◠✿) I wanted to write about my recent boom and show some of the things I bought.

Recently I've been feeling a lot better mental health wise and I've gotten back into my hobbies! I've been really interested in creating outfits with interesting textures and layers, like old Swankiss style! I've also been looking at a lot of Tenshi Kaiwai inspo photos. I really like the blue and white color palette,  I hardly ever wear blue but when I was outfit planning the other day I tried on my blue cinnamoroll shirt and I felt so cute!! So that's how my blue boom started Ｏ(≧▽≦)Ｏ I'll probably make an inspo post later. I don't know if the style i'm going for is really exactly tenshi, but it's a pretty new style so it seems sorta open to creativity? idk. I'm gonna wear what I want either way  (⊙︿⊙✿) 

On a totally unrelated note, I had a situation recently where I had to stand up for myself and I feel like it's totally changed my mindset. I've gotten bullied for most of my life, and for the most part felt powerless against it and let myself get bullied out of stuff or changed the way I dresses to try to avoid people being mean. Now that I showed myself that I am strong and powerful, I feel so much more confident. I was always afraid that if I posted my take on a style people would start being mean to me, but now I just don't care. I feel like I unlocked my creativity again and I have a lot of DIY projects that i'm working on ≧◡≦ 

I feel so free to create and be myself and share that with the world. I think I have unique ideas and my style is different and special (✿◠‿◠) So I want to share more from now on!!

Anyways, onto my gets!! I went shopping earlier this week since I can finally walk and drive again after my big toe being broken since July! 

I went to five below to find a travel cup, and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this Halloween My Melo ♥‿♥  I also got some socks since I noticed a lot of mine have seen better days ... lol 

Of course I went makeup shopping bc I can't resist xD I usually use a mascara from Tarte since my eyes are really sensitive, but it's so expensive and just average. I have an app for skin allergies and it said this mascara was 100% allergen free?? Idk. I'm not sure what actually bothers my eyes, but I think it's fragrance, and this is fragrance free. I also got this really glittery lip gloss at Sally's (✿ ♥‿♥) 

My Hello Kitty makeup mirror has sadly died after several years, and I found a similar one in Marshalls! Sadly I think I may need to return it as it's missing a cable and the magnification mirrors really hurt my eyes ●︿● There were a few other options at the store though, they were just more expensive. 

Of course I had to get nail stuff to match my blue boom. I was gonna get all the things I need for dip powder online, but that was super expensive ●︿● I bought a couple things for that a few months ago and never finished buying the rest of the supplies. I still wanna do dip in the future, but my natural nails are somehow pretty nice right now, so I just got a lot of nail polish and a top coat that supposedly holdss rhinestones. 

I got a lot of stuff from Pink ≧◡≦ I always wanted one of these dogs when I was in high school and never got one. They actually had this online on a sale for like $4 or something so I figured now was the time! Plus I had a coupon for a free body spray. 

These are gets and some stuff I already had! I wanted to lay out all the blue and white pieces that fit the aesthetic I'm going for. I'll write more about that in another post! I got the plain tshirts, blue wide leg sweatpants, lace top, and a white tennis skirt!

Recent gets

 Hey there! I planned on writing this earlier but now it's sort of grown into a longer post!! I wanted to write about my recent gets, and later this week I'll write about my recent looks. I've found the eye shape I'll stick with for now and I'm really happy about it! 

Here are my recent gets! 

This was my most recent shopping trip! I wanted some more interesting bottoms, and I love this skirt so much. It actually has sone sparkle which I love and it's a good length too which is sometimes hard to find. I think I might embellish the pants a little... what do you think? 

This is what they look like on, I can't decide if I want to put a little drawstring at the bottom, since there's already a little button there. I could also just roll them up more, or add other things like ribbons, lace or some design from my embroidery machine! If you have co*de ideas let me know!

                                   

I also bought this in the same trip! Is is possible to get a good picture of a poncho? Idk. But it's really cute and I kept seeing them in old Liz Lisa pictures so I'm really happy I finally found one.

Here are some purses I got! 

I found thus Juicy Couture purse at Tjmaxx, and I'm so in love. Again I don't know what I'll wear this with so if you have ideas I'd love to hear them. I'm just so happy to have this, I've been admiring this brand since I was a little kid lol! But it shut down and I couldn't get anything until now. 

I got the two big purses for Christmas and I'm in LOVE with them. They're so perfect for sweet looks. My boyfriend bought me the little Duffy bear keychain and it's my favorite thing. I found the Shellie May purse on amazon US, I was so surprised I was able to get one here at a reasonable price! I really like incorporating Disney into my looks. 

I got the bows from Target because I was looking for some larger bows and hair accessories! I found the top at Marshall's and it has little hearts on the shoulders. I think I might wear it with a cream or black skirt? 

These are the makeup and hair gets I bought recently! I did an Amazon JP order and got the 2 smaller canmake shadows as well as the cinnamoroll clips and keychains. I found the other canmake on Amazon US! Yesterday I found the cushion blush at target on clearance and I like it a lot so far! The canmake eyeshadows are really shimmery and pretty too. 

Jewelry Gets and projects! 

Today I was at the craft store and I got some new beads! If you can't see it in this picture, the ooink and silver ones are stars, and the gold beads are hearts. 

Finally, here are some necklaces and bracelets I made recently! I wore the pearl set to a himekaji tea party earlier this weekend.
