Trying different old school make

  Just a short post today. I’m going to brunch with my husband and decided to try make like this. Spring here has been brutal, the pollen count has been extremely high and my eyes have been bothering me. I think also something in my makeup is bothering me which is bizarre since I haven’t gotten anything t new. Anyways I’ve been wearing glasses instead of contacts since the last time I got a bad allergic reaction to pollen and my eyelid swelled up. I ended up getting new glasses so I would have options, they’re the same as my brown ones in a different color!! 

I got clear since I felt like it didn’t take away from my old school make as much! I think they’re cute! 

New nail and make

 I got my nails done today!! 

Just glitter neon yellow today since I’m getting them done again in two weeks for my birthday. 

New make! I went with a lighter base, my acne scars are showing but I’m still pretty ✨ I tried some different things but my skin is on the oily side nowadays and my pores just get clogged to easily. I might eventually go back to my powder foundation but tbh I haven’t been liking it recently and everything else I tried I had to return because it made me break out, so I decided it wasn’t worth it. Hopefully my remaining acne caused by all this will clear in time for my birthday.  

I finally remembered how I used to do eyeliner and I like how this came out. I’ve hated my makeup every other day this week so I’m really happy about that. I’ve been trying to be more in tune with my own preferences for how makeup looks instead of chaining myself to a tutorial. I was inspired by Ran from Egg who always wears bright orange blush. I told my husband my life changed the day I realized pink blush looks horrible on me xD orange blush forever. 

Bryan’s birthday ♥╣[-_-]╠♥

Today we saw Bryan's parents for his birthday! We ate at a seafood restaurant. I didn't get food photos since I felt weird about taking pictures with his family around haha.

Reiwa inspired make today! I don't know why I look mad, these are all the selfies I took xD I really like how this came out, even though I didn't put lashes on today. I wish I could show how sparkly this shadow is on camera!

I forgot how good quality eyeshadows feel, this is a charlotte tilbury one I bought a few years ago and am close to finishing. It might need to get tossed though because my eyes are suspiciously very itchy..  The palette I normally use is Dior but the shadows are all pretty dry and not super pigmented, even though their other palettes are normally nice. 

 I also refilled my namida bukuro stick, I got the orange instead of champagne but I think I made it work by layering lighter glitter on top. The orange alone is too dark, but they were out of stock of champagne and the others were pink which I didn't want. I forgot how nice it is when the stick is fresh, it's not pulling on my skin anymore. Note to self to replace it sooner xD 

This is the liner I use! tbh if I keep doing 90's style I don't even care about the orange end since I'll just be using pure white, but I change my mind all the time about if I want current or 90's make.  

 I used a fancy lipstick today too but tbh I'm kinda disappointed in it because every SINGLE time I use it, it dries my lips out so horribly in a way nothing else does. It even feels so creamy going on, I have no idea why it's like that.

I tried putting on the more natural of the lashes I bought earlier this week and ... they were super ugly. I hated them and removed them immediately. If I end up using the clusters more often I'll either go with the spikes or buy more "standard" looking brown ones. The spikey ones sort of freaked me out because when I washed my face with them on they started shedding tiny individual lashes, even though I was very careful like I always am. It makes me sorta worried to wear them for more than a day, because I'm concerned I may rub them when I'm asleep and those fibers could get in and hurt my eye o(╥﹏╥)o I think I can make it work with "regular" clusters, instead of the spiky ones, especially since all the reiwa gals with exte have more wispy looking ones and 90's gals didn't really wear lashes much and if they did they were the western wispy type. I'm trying to be more in the mindset of doing what I want anyways, and not always forcing myself to copy someone else's idea in order to feel valid in my choices. 

I'm waiting for my order from this other lash company to arrive. They have a really interesting product that is little sticky tabs to put on clusters instead of liquid glue. I had a really hard time finding cluster glue that I can use and this was the only one I could find. They also had one liquid glue I can technically use, but it only comes in black and I'm not sure how that would look with my brown clusters. I'm hoping the tabs work because honestly it seems like such a good idea and will take a lot less time.

I've been in such a weird mood the last couple weeks, I think it's probably just a combination of all the different stresses in my life right now. I keep going back and forth on how I wanna look and nothing really ever seems right. It's driving me insane. Every time the season changes i'm never happy with my wardrobe and wanna change it somehow, but it's always hard to find things I really love. I'm trying to just take it one day at a time and just wear what I feel like wearing in the moment without taking it too seriously or worrying about how someone else will view it.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

 

Makeup get (✿◠‿

 

Today I went to Sephora after work! I am still on a low/no buy to save up for another trip this summer and because i way overspent last year rip but I had rewards points and wanted to treat myself. I learned a lot from my no buy month, and this was actually something I felt like I would use. 

I finally got a fresh berry toned blush! I used to have another one by the same brand, but it eventually got old, and besides I wear powder foundation now and that one was cream so it wouldn't work anyways. I loved it so much because it lasted forever. Definitely used it daily for a year and barely looked touched! You might think this shade would look crazy on me, but it looks like a really natural flush. When I was still on instagram I saw a video about how deep berry looks like a natural flush on pale cool toned skin, and so I started looking for a shade like this! I realized lately I really don't like the look of pink blush on me, I only like this and orange. So I hope I will end up using this as much as I used the last one! I also had $15 in credit card rewards for Sephora so I was able to buy this for like $12 :0 I'm really excited to wear it for Valentines day since I think it will match my black dress well. 

I also looked for a pear perfume for Valentines day. They didn't have a mini of the one I wanted, so I took some samples to think about it. I don't really want a full size, but I remembered I do still have a Sephora gift card so maybe if I do still want that one I'll get it.

Relaxing day

 Hello!! 

Today i was supposed to see my friend, but i felt really sick last night so i couldn't go (◕︵◕) when i woke up i realized i was having an allergic reaction (so not contagious) and eventually decided to go get tea at the cafe my husband works at!!  

and OMG i did not know how good of a decision that was gonna be!!  I overheard a group of women next to me talking about makeup and how they were preparing for an opera show. OMG. I didn't post about it, but I went to see Barber of Seville earlier this fall and i absolutely loved it and have been obsessed with the opera ever since then. I'm really shy so I didn't say anything for a while but then I knew i would regret it and asked them if they performed in the opera. They said yes and one of the women was in the opera I saw ≧◡≦  They also said they were wanting to do makeup like mine and asked how I did it and what I used, i was totally starstruck xD I asked them to take a selfie with me because they are basically celebrities to me (✿ ♥‿♥) they were so nice, and they said the opera takes volunteers too, so I called the volunteer coordinator and am waiting to hear back. I'm so excited ≧◡≦ 

I didn't get a coord photo but this is what I wore. My friend Sam made the bracelet! 

My eye make! I had to edit it to make the colors look like they do in real life, since I only remembered to take this photo at night. I hate when make pics are too filtered and you can't see what the colors look like, so I usually try to keep the photos unedited. 

I used the purple and blue from this Too Faced Italian Sprits palette, then used the canmake glitter on top, since it's just glitter without a base color. I used a silver liner under my eye and then used the Flower Knows glitter on top!

Thanksgiving outfit ・✫・゜・。.

 Hello! Today I wanted to show you my thanksgiving outfit (✿◠‿◠) 

I'm really not a big thankgiving fan (⊙︿⊙✿) but at least I get to dress up. 

I forgot to get a good photo of my makeup :( I wanted to do a really sparkly mermaid type look, so I used a pale purple eyeshadow and put glitter on top! I did my usual shading under my eye with a darker purple too. I always like doing that since i think it makes my eyes look really big! I also did a bright pink blush and lipstick. 

This is my outfit!! I felt so pretty ★~(◡﹏◕✿) We went to my husband's aunt's house, and they had a super cute dog so I was happy xD 

Thanksgiving is sorta boring for me, honestly the real holiday is going black friday shoping bc I always go with my mom and sister as well as our family friends and it's like a special girls day where we get to spend time together. I'm really sad that they don't open the stores at midnight anymore, because now everything is way more crowded since there's only one day of shopping. Plus it was just weird and fun to be in a Macy's at like 2 am xD I'm still really excited to go tomorrow though!! I hope everyone had a relaxing day or holiday ・✫・゜・。. 

Recent looks and inspo!

 

Hey! I wanted to share some of my recent looks. Like I said in my last post, I found an eyeshape I like for now. of COURSE it's not the one in my profile pic, after I spent all that tine making it lol. but I like that one too. I've been looking at a lot of Ageha and Ranzuki magazines and I kind of looked at those and added my own ideas to make something I like. Makeup is what drew me to Gal because western style winged eyeliner doesn't really flatter my eyes, and I really like all the gal looks I've created!

Also before I begin I wanna add that I bought myself this jacket as my reward for working a lot of overtime at work. This is my first real gyaru brand piece and I'm soooo excited for it!

These are the pictures I've mostly been inspired by! I don't wear bottom lashes and these work really well with my natural lashes. 

Here's some of my recent co*des and make looks!

I wore dolly wink 02 here, I love how comfortable they are! In my head I was like, "I'm going to go for some neutral bronzes and golds today". lol that didn't happen. Pink eyeshadow is my favorite and I had a lot of fun wearing this! 

I wore this last week when I went to visit my boyfriend! This was the first time I wore my Glamnetic magnetic lashes and I really liked them, but the liner does take some getting used to. Once I use up the bottle I'm going to get the pen liner instead. I was also super excited about this outfit because I had just uncovered the jewelry I wore! It had been packed away since march. 

I wore this make to go on a video call! lol. My lashes were from the dollar store and i'm really impressed with them, they're a little uncomfortable to wear though. 

I wore this to the virtual himekaji tea party a few weeks ago! I wasn't going to wear tights but it was SO COLD and I had to. I always have trouble finding tights to match my skintone, so I always just go with a color. The penguin is my favorite sweater right now, and I didn't have a bear to match the theme so I picked another animal instead. 

Also, I made the jewelry I wore in this pic! It's a hobby I used to do all the time and recently picked up again when I got interested in jfashion. 

Here's some of my favorite and new makeup! 

This is one of the new colourpop releases, I haven't used it yet but I wanted to try out some smoky colors! And I'm a sucker for sparkly taupe shadows. 

These are what I usually use for my nose contour! I also like the NYX jumbo pencil but it exaggerates the texture on my nose. These always end up working just a little better! 

I recently tried Canmake's eyeshadows and I looooove them. I love the sparkly shades, especially the one in the palette on the left. The tine eyeshadow is good for an undereye highlight if you use a dense brush! It's not super opaque though, even though it claimed to be a cream shadow. That's ok though, i just use more layers. 

I haven't tried these yet but colourpop makes such sparkly glosses, and I'm almost out of one of mine!
