Catching up: Christmas!

 Hello! Today I want  to show you all my photos from Christmas and New Year’s! It’s obviously really late, but I like looking back on posts like this so I still wanted to make it. 

I’ve been struggling a lot with self image/self esteem, and I hated how I looked in these photos at first (still sorta do) so this is also a big step for me to be able to share them. 

I felt very lucky to be able to spend Christmas with my family this year, because last year all of them were sick with covid (∩︵∩) On Christmas Eve, we had a party at my parents house with Bryan‘s family too! 

It was decorated so beautifully ≧◡≦ It really felt like Christmas when I walked in, especially since our house wasn’t decorated since we had just moved in a week before. 

Presents!!

I’ve been playing Pokémon snap a lot the past week actually!! It’s so cute and I like how there’s no fighting, lol. It’s a very relaxed game!!

I felt so spoiled with these (✿◠‿◠) My mom bought them for me after I mentioned liking them when we were window shopping! I thought the bracelet was so perfect for 90’s gal too.

Another Pokémon controller! And this bag was a total surprise from my mother in law, I love it so much! 

This is my most favorite perfume of all time! It’s the perfect gourmand scent, it’s vanilla and sweet. There’s almost a sweet fruity aspect I think?? I love smelling like vanilla though, and I used up the travel size so I was so excited to receive the full size ♥‿♥ especially because I wouldn’t have bought it for myself, it’s so fancy!

I actually bought this for Bryan xD We moved from an apartment building with amenities to a house, and he was sad because we wouldn’t have a pool table at the house. I walked by this on Black Friday in JCPenney’s and it was so ridiculous that I had to buy it. 

Bryan got me several books from my favorite manga series ♥‿♥ It’s about the designers who work with God to design the animals on earth. Super silly and amusing, and they actually end up describing real animals and at the end of each chapter there is a fact page about the animal! They always describe the animals in a way where you wouldn’t recognize them, so it’s always funny to see their final reveal at the end.

For new years we typically drive out to see my dad’s family in Michigan, but Bryan actually got the cold I had before Christmas and we couldn’t go ●︿● not to be depressing, but I get worried when I don’t see them for a holiday because… well everyone is getting older and I wonder how much longer we’ll be together, and how long they’ll keep the farm. 

So anyways, this year it was just Bryan and I together in our new house which was nice! Unfortunately we do not have cable. We assumed that the New Year’s program would come through on the antennae, since my grandparents live in the middle of farmland with nothing around and also do not have cable, but we were wrong. Every single New Year’s show was either on cable or behind some ridiculous paywall on a streaming service we didn’t have. So we ended up watching some really lame one, and it was kinda hilarious. The guy was 100% in his house filming, because you could tell the camera was too close to his face. All of the other reporters were out in Nashville or NYC having huge parties and then the main guy was just in his home clearly bummed about it. It was supposedly “New Year’s around the world” but he just kept playing the clips from the UK and Singapore over and over. Lol. 

Bryan and I ended up opening some Christmas presents on New Year’s Eve because some of mine were delayed and just got there that day. One of them was a tiny cowboy hat for my long furby, lol. But it was technically a cat hat so we tried putting it on Luna xD

Then the rest of the night we just spent watching that bad New Year’s eve special and eating fun snacks we made!! Unfortunately the power went out right after midnight and set off some alarms in our house, but other than that it was fun ╚(•⌂•)╝ Luna really enjoyed warming up by the fireplace!!

Oh P.S. I got these really cursed furby shoes. I’m gonna wear them with my tropical/manba inspired outfit to a con in February as long as they get along with my feet. Look at how stupid they are. I coulodn’t stop thinking about them. I waited until there was literally only 1 left in stock in my size. This year my goal is to stop caring about what people think and furby feet are my first step.

 Hello!! Wow, I haven’t posted in forever. I’ve been up to my usual self xD kinda struggling with self image and all but i wanna get off of insta and onto blogging since maybe it’ll fix that a little?? Idk. Anyways I was talking to my friend Kieli about shopping and she encouraged me to post again

 (づ｡◕‿‿◕｡)づ so i thought I would share what I bought! 

Everything is from Marshall’s and kohl’s. I like being close to the stores now that i moved to the suburbs but i do miss the city vibes a lot. Ironically our city doesn’t really have shops anymore, it’s mostly restaurants and bars LOL so now I am close to a few things, but the mall is farther away. 

First i got these pj’s since i needed some, and juicy is my favorite ♥‿♥ I’m actually eyeing some juicy stuff on Poshmark right now too. 

I love rude cosmetics but their powder products all have stupid phenoxyethanol as the preservative, which i can’t use, so i was excited to see these! I was a little shocked when I used the clear one tho bc they’re actually color changing and it turns super hot pink. At least it’s was only $4 LOL.

I got this skirt for really cheap in Marshall’s! It reminds me of a skirt from a 1998 egg mag that i was just reading xD 

Kohl’s has himekaji xD i can’t believe i found this there?! 

Scalp scrubbers are how i save my press on nails from snagging my hair in the shower! and i like the scalp mask for when i use the matching scalp scrub. the scrub is great and cleanses your hair and scalp super well, it’s just very thorough so i always use this right after. I also got these juicy socks. They were in a set and I thought they were all cute like this, but it turns out that only the top pair has the rhinestones and hearts. (◣_◢)

Nails! I usually like square but i wanted to try these since i liked the designs. 

Ok so did I NEED 2 purses? No. But also… maybe. I remember this velvet style of juicy bag from when I was a kid and i always wanted one so badly, but they stopped making them and they’re scalped now online. So I was so happy to find one in Marshall’s!! And I really liked the shape and shiny finish on the bottom one, plus it was only $13. 

I’m planning a handmade hime outfit for my jfashion group’ Valentine’s Day party, so i got this black sweater and tank top as a base! I ended up ordering a white one I’m probably gonna use for my outfit now.. but that’s fine bc i can just use the black sweater for Lolita. I also got some white dot tights to match that outfit! I was so in love with the fur trimmed cardigan, like i had to have it right away. It was expensive, but my sister came with coupons and saved the day (✿ ♥‿♥)
