I feel like I went on a no buy last month just to blow like twice as much money this month -_- some of it couldn’t be helped though, as I realized I genuinely needed new shoes and clothes… which I guess was the point of my no buy- only buying things I actually need instead of buying on a whim.
I’m still deciding between some shoes since my sensory sensitivities are so insane for shoes. I ordered from Birkenstock like three times trying to get the right size because their chart wasn’t very accurate for the shoe I wanted. I may just end up returning them altogether because I’m not sure and for the price, I don’t wanna end up with yet another shoe I can’t wear. Right now I’m focused on getting- 1. A shoe that is waterproof for the spring and 2. A shoe I can wear with my dresses.
I already got these which I’ll keep since I know I like the black pair. They’re Uggs. Not super comfortable for walking all day or anything but better looking than my normal running shoes.
I’m deciding between two pairs of teva hiking shoes for something waterproof. Like I said, other than the platforms, I can only wear one specific pair of running shoes and those are mesh so they’re very uncomfortable when it’s cold and wet. I kind of hate having to buy ugly hiking shoes but it is what it is, I don’t wanna be in pain and there’s very few shoes cut in the way I need them to be. I think I saw a 90’s era photo of a gal in hiking shoes anyways.
I also got these bracelets at Hollister. My arms are really small so they’re a little big but the package came busted and they fit well enough that I’ll keep them. The large one is way too heavy looking on me though xD they also have some other shell accessories I want, but everything was a little expensive for what they are so I’ll wait for a sale. Hollister really is a mainstay of my wardrobe at this point. They’re one of the few stores that has cute details like this, and they have sales pretty frequently as well that makes them much more affordable than somewhere like American eagle.
Finally I got influenced by rinmero to look at lash clusters again. It’s crazy realizing how many sensory issues I actually have and tried to ignore … I realized strip lashes are insanely uncomfortable for me. I tried the cluster lashes last night and they’re much better. I go back and forth between wanting the full old school look and wanting something that’s more of a hybrid modern and 90’s look so I like having the option. I put them on last night with regular glue but since they don’t bother my eyes too much I need up ordering the actual cluster glue as well. I don’t really like the makeup I did so I didn’t take a photo. I’ll try again tomorrow and see what I think! I’ve been wanting to make a tutorial just for fun.

Good luck on the shoe hunt! Finding shoes that are both comfortable and cute really is so difficult 😿
ReplyDeleteI've been very tempted by lash clusters too!! But I want to use up my strip lashes before buying any new ones. Who knows how long that will take!
Hope to see tutorial from you when you got time. I love seeing how others do their makeup!
I have so many strip lashes too, but I only use them for a couple hours at a time. I love seeing how people do makeup too!! I ordered better glue hopefully and I think it’ll work out.
DeleteHAHA I LOVE INFLUENCING EVERYONE TO GO FOR CLUSTERS xD Clusters are such a lifesaver for me...and now I go towards complete lash sets to get even more out of it haha. The problem with the glues is that even if it says it's waterproof, most are not oil-proof. You get sweaty on your eyelids and that's where I struggle with the glues, even with a sealer! That's why I want to use my permanent glue, it's water and oil-proof but it's not suitable for clusters. Ah well, if I had given up on doing my own nails when they looked awful and didn't last years ago I wouldn't do nail sets each month. So I have to keep going and do trial+error.
ReplyDeleteOoh yes, the glue is important! I've never really had too much trouble with lash glue luckily.
DeleteKeep trying! If I get the chance to try some affordable clusters I may get some before my strips run out 😹😹😹 Always looking for different ways to do makeup!
I’ll have to see how they hold up when I exercise! Hopefully nothing will slide away xD I am so nervous about eye things, I’ve seen permanent glue for individual lashes but it scared me lol. I used to use falscara probably for about two years on and off and I would just replace them about every 5 days, which I feel like is enough for me.
DeleteI bought cluster lashes yesterday HAHAHAHAHA 😹😹😹😹
DeleteWhat is falscara? I'm nervous about long-term glues. I've seen some people wear their clusters for like two weeks at a time but I'd definitely want to use glue I remove each night!!!
